Water was leaking from the first block of the lake formed by glacier eruption and landslide in the Naltar Bala area on the outskirts of Gilgit, according to Director General Gilgit-Baltistan Disaster Management Authority Wali Khan, who told APP on Monday that the second discharge from the block was likely to start anytime tonight.
He verified that four individuals had gone missing in the glacier, two women and two men, and that a search effort was underway in conjunction with Rescue 1122.
