PM Imran Khan is on a two-day official visit to Uzbekistan.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, arrived in Tashkent on Thursday on a two-day official visit to Uzbekistan.

He is accompanied by Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Minister of Interior, Ali Haider Zaidi, National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf, and Atif Khan.

The two nations’ leaders will discuss the whole range of bilateral ties, with a special focus on trade, economic cooperation, and connectivity.

The leaders will also discuss regional and international problems of common concern.

The visit of the Prime Minister is particularly significant in terms of bilateral and regional commerce, regional connectivity, and defence cooperation.

Several agreements and memorandums of understanding will be signed during the visit in areas of mutual interest, including goods transportation, collaboration between chambers of business of the two nations, trade, education, culture, and tourism.

In addition, the Prime Minister will speak at the inaugural Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum.

The Prime Minister will attend the International Conference on Central and South Asia Regional Connectivity: Challenges and Opportunities at the request of the Uzbek President.
