ISLAMABAD – Ali Amin Khan Gandapur arrived in Islamabad only hours after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) requested that the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan depart Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Ali Amin Gandapur has returned to Islamabad after ending his election campaign in Kashmir, according to the AJK Ministry of Home.
Ali Amin Gandapur was previously asked to leave Azad Kashmir by the AJK Election Commission (EC). In this respect, the Azad Kashmir Election Commission wrote to the Chief Secretary, stating that Ali Amin Gandapur’s statements were causing an issue for regional peace and that his inflammatory rhetoric was disrupting law and order.
According to the letter from the Election Commission, actions are being taken against people who violate the code of conduct.
The Chief Secretary has been instructed to follow the Election Commission’s orders and submit a report.
On the other side, a shoe was thrown at PTI politician Ali Amin Gandapur at an election rally in Azad Kashmir’s Bagh area on July 13, in an uncommon event. The guy threw his sneaker in the direction of the federal minister, just missing him. It landed on the guy next to the PTI leader.
Meanwhile, Legislative Assembly elections are scheduled for July 25, and all traditional political parties are campaigning in AJK.
