Due to the ‘constant existence of improper content,’ the PTA has once again blocked TikTik.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority stated on Wednesday that TikTok, a video-sharing website owned by ByteDance, had been prohibited in the nation due to “inappropriate material.”

The telecom regulator said, “In light of relevant sections of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, PTA has restricted access to TikTok App and website in the nation.”

The news comes almost three weeks after the Sindh High Court (SHC) lifted the ban on TikTok services.

The SHC had ordered the PTA to halt the video-sharing site’s services on June 28 in response to a citizen’s petition claiming that the mobile app included “immorality and obscenity.”
