ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (Web Desk) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has invited Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud to visit Pakistan on Tuesday.
He will be joined by a Saudi government delegation comprised of top officials.
The two Foreign Ministers will share views on a wide range of bilateral, regional, and international topics during their visit.
During his tour, the Saudi Foreign Minister will meet with other dignitaries.
The Saudi Foreign Minister’s visit is particularly significant in light of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia in May 2021.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said in a statement that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have long-standing and historic brotherly relations founded on shared faith, history, and mutual assistance.
According to him, the partnership is characterised by tight cooperation in all areas as well as reciprocal participation on regional and international concerns.
Saudi Arabia is a member of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir, according to Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, and has consistently backed the Kashmir cause. Frequent high-level visits are an important element of the connection, since they help to develop and extend the relationship in a variety of ways.
The Saudi Foreign Minister’s visit, according to the spokesman, will add to the good momentum in high-level interactions and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in a variety of sectors.
