GUYANA – On July 31, Pakistan and the West Indies will play the second Twenty20 encounter in a four-match series in Guyana (Saturday).
At 08:00 p.m. Pakistan Standard Time, the match will begin.
The first T20 International in a four-match series between the West Indies and Pakistan was called off as a no-result due to heavy rain at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
West Indies batted first and totaled 85 for five after persistent rain delayed the start of play by over three hours and limited the contest to nine overs each side.
Kieron Pollard, the captain, top-scored with an unbroken 22 while Hasan Ali, the visitors’ seamer, led the bowling effort with figures of two for 11 from two overs.
However, the rains returned just as the home team’s innings was nearing to a conclusion, and the umpires decided to call the game off after considerable debate.
Due to a Covid 19-enforced delay during the prior One-Day International series against Australia at the same location, the series has been shortened to a best-of-three encounter.
