ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar stated on Tuesday that people who have not been completely vaccinated against coronavirus would be barred from using public transportation from October 15.
Asad Umar stated at a media event alongside SAPM on Health Dr Faisal Sultan that school teachers and employees will not be permitted to work after October 15 if they have not received the vaccines.
According to the chairman of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), vaccination has been ruled necessary for air travel after September 30, while those working in schools and transportation must take their doses before the deadline.
He stated that the government is taking efforts to reduce viral transmission, for which vaccination is essential, and that from September 15, just a single dosage vaccine is required for highway travel, but after October 15, no one would be permitted to use the highway without vaccination.
