General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Pakistan Army’s top general, visited the Corps Headquarters in Karachi on Monday morning.
It was announced by the Inter-Services Public Relations that COAS General Qamar Bajwa had received a thorough briefing on operational preparation as well as the Corps’ training regime and administrative concerns.
Armed forces commander was briefed on the security situation in the province, including efforts by Pakistan Rangers to help other Peace Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in preserving law and order.
General Bajwa emphasised the need of properly protecting against hybrid threats and the necessity to respond jointly in light of recent developments in the area.
Also, he was informed on the Army’s multi-faceted support in implementing the Karachi Transformation Plan (KTP), Pakistan’s largest city, through different development initiatives in the wake of Karachi’s August 2013 floods.
KTP’s main projects have been implemented on time and efficiently thanks to the Karachi Corps, according to the report.
Also, the army commander paid a visit to the Zindagi Trust’s Khatoon-e- Pakistan Government Girls School in Karachi.
the school administration for providing state-of-the-art facilities and a high standard of education for impoverished girls on par with any modern educational system of the day, according to the statement.
Other LEAs comprising intelligence, Sindh Police, the Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF), as well as the Airport Security Force also met with General Bajwa (ASF).
To ensure the welfare of martyrs’ families, the army chief ordered the formation to take all necessary measures to ensure their well-being and safety.
Prior to his arrival, General Bajwa was welcomed by Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum, the Commander of the Karachi Corps.
