The Electoral Reforms Amendment Bill is passed by a joint session of Parliament.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – The joint session of Parliament has passed a resolution for the Electoral Reforms Amendment Bill, which is a big victory for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led administration.

According to the facts, 221 parliamentarians voted in favour of the motion, while just 203 MPs voted against it.

The administration wants to pass nearly two dozen laws during the joint session of Parliament, while the opposition plans to give the Treasury benches a hard time.

EVMs, according to Shehbaz Sharif, are a “evil and nasty machine.”

Shehbaz Sharif, the president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has described electronic voting machines (EVMs) as “evil and wicked devices.”

The administration and its supporters tried to bulldoze vital bills, according to the Opposition Leader of the National Assembly, who called it “illegal” and said it ruined Parliament’s traditions.

The session was first postponed, and the administration said it wanted to engage with the opposition on the matter, but it was a ruse to gain time so the government could get the votes it required, according to the PML-N President. He goes on to say that you had no intention of holding discussions on the subject.

He stated that while there are usually claims of rigging during elections, this is the first time in history that suspicions of rigging have surfaced before to the polls. He stated that the “chosen administration” intended to deploy EVMs because it could no longer ask the public for votes.

The PML-N President urged Asad Qaiser to postpone the joint session so that “extensive consultation” on electoral changes could take place.
