With 8,010 more persons recovering from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, active cases in Pakistan have gone below 15,000 for the first time in almost a year, according to statistics from the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Tuesday morning.

According to the NCOC’s most recent statistics, the number of active COVID-19 cases across the country has reduced to 14,862 as of Tuesday.

On November 3, 2020, Pakistan reported 14,646 active COVID-19 cases.

According to the NCOC, 315 additional persons tested positive for the virus after 35,332 tests were performed across the country in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1,282,510. The optimism rating now stands at 0.89 percent.

Meanwhile, five additional persons died as a result of the coronavirus over the same time period, bringing the total death toll from the virus to 28,668.

In addition, 8,010 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Pakistan in the previous 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 1,238,980.

Pakistan provided an average of 702,907 dosages each day during the most recent week recorded. At that rate, it will take an additional 62 days to reach the remaining 10% of the population.
