ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Maryam Nawaz, vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), called the supposed audio footage of former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar a charge sheet against him on Wednesday.
During a news conference, Maryam said that Saqib Nisar will have to reveal the truth one day and explain to the public why he was wrongfully condemned to three terms as Prime Minister.
She stated that the former CJP first denied any involvement to the footage and stated that he is not heard in the audio. Then he said that the tape was made by splicing together recordings from numerous instances.
Maryam stated that as soon as the tape was released, propaganda claiming that the footage was doctored began, despite the fact that the clip was forensically analysed by a well-known American firm. She went on to say, “They have explicitly declared that the tape has not been manipulated in any manner.”
The PML-N leader wanted to know where speech those passages from, in which the ex-CJP discusses punishing PML-N officials, were taken from.
