LAHORE- Ration cards, lines, inflation, U-turns, and falsehoods, according to Pakistan Muslim League (N) President and Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif, are the identification emblems of the new Pakistan. Imran Niazi’s incompetence and corruption are to blame for the country’s gas issue.

In his remarks, Shahbaz Sharif stated that people in petrol lineups today are recalling old Pakistan, that authoritarian rulers’ insensitivity is adding salt to the poor’s wounds, and that the whole nation has been surrounded by the haze of inefficiency.

He went on to say that inefficiency, corruption, and inflation have enveloped the country in the previous three years, and that his heart breaks when he watches lengthy lines for gas, wheat, sugar, and other necessities.

According to Shahbaz Sharif, the nation will be hit with a fresh bomb in the form of a 400 percent spike in gas prices on January 1.

From next month, domestic and business customers would pay an extra Rs 1,400 to Rs 1,700 per MMBTU unit for gas.

After the gas crisis, the nation is now dealing with a sugar shortage. Sugar prices have risen to between 130 and 150 dollars per pound.

On the other hand, Maryam Aurangzeb, a spokesperson for the Pakistan Muslim League Noon (PML-N), tweeted on the social networking site that Nawaz Sharif had ended load shedding, whereas Imran Khan had put the nation back in queues by promising false hope, and that there are painful scenes of the new Pakistan everywhere.
