LAHORE: Unidentified crooks kidnapped a merchant from Harbanspura, Lahore, as he left his home for go-down, according to reports on Friday.

Malik Rashid, a merchant from Harbanspura, Lahore, has gone missing. The possible kidnapping of the trader has been reported to the police.

According to the trader’s family, he went missing after leaving the house to go to the go-down. The trader’s truck and phone were left behind, according to police.

The missing trader’s phone was tracked to Batapur, Manawan, and Skyland Road, according to police.

Abductors were being tracked down with the help of Safe City cameras, according to officials. According to police, an inquiry into several issues, including personal animosity, is ongoing.

The motorways police had prevented an abduction attempt on a trader’s son on the Lyari Expressway earlier in August.

According to DIG Motorways Police, officers noticed a guy begging for aid in a vehicle on the motorway. “The officers pursued the suspects, who were driving behind the automobile in a vehicle. The cops had opened fire from the air. The culprit fled the location after seeing the police officers approaching,” the DIG stated.

“The victim, a son of a gold businessman, was taken into protective care,” a police officer said.

“For the last three days, these thieves have been stalking my kid,” a local shopkeeper informed the police. The trader had stated, “They were planning to abduct my son for money.”
