Two soldiers were martyred in an attack on a military base in North Waziristan.

RAWALPINDI — On Saturday, two soldiers accepted death when a military installation was attacked in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province’s North Waziristan area.

Terrorists targeted a military base in the Datta Khel region of North Waziristan, according to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, and after an intense exchange of fire, two troops accepted death.

The slain troops were named as 27-year-old Chitral resident Naik Rehman and 22-year-old Tank resident Lance Naik Arif.

“A search operation is being conducted in the surrounding areas to apprehend the evading terrorists,” the statement stated.
