TTP should focus on securing an agreement with the Pakistani government: Afghan Taliban.

KABUL – The Afghan Taliban have urged the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which is banned in Pakistan, to concentrate on striking an agreement with the Pakistani government.

The prohibited organisation was not part of their movement, according to a foreign media report, and the group was urged to focus on striking an agreement with the Pakistani government.

TTP head Noor Wali Mehsud was seen on video stating that the organisation was a branch of the Taliban Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), but Afghan Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid refuted the accusations.

“They are not a member of the IEA as an organisation, and we do not share the same aims,” Mujahid told international media.

TTP should concentrate on maintaining peace and stability in their country, according to us.

This is critical in order to deter adversaries from interfering in the area and in Pakistan. We also want Pakistan to consider their requests for the sake of the region and Pakistan.”
