Today, the NCOC will make a final decision on school winter breaks.

ISLAMABAD — The Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) resolved on Tuesday that the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) will make the final decision on educational institutes’ winter breaks today (Wednesday).

During the winter holidays, the Ministry of Health and the Provincial Ministers of Education met for consultations.

From December 25 to January 5, all provincial and federal education ministries have decided to arrange winter breaks at educational institutions.

Inter-provincial education secretaries met to finalise proposals, with the NCOC making the final decision tomorrow (Wednesday). Shafqat Mahmood, the Federal Minister of Education, will attend the NCOC meeting tomorrow.

According to a spokesperson for the Federal Ministry of Education, proposals on the winter breaks had been received from all provinces, and a decision will be made tomorrow following a final decision.

According to the spokeswoman, all provinces and textbook boards have been required to print the Cabinet-approved political map in books, whereas previously, separate maps had been published in different provinces.
