The government has launched the Mall Brother railway connecting Istanbul, Islamabad, and Tehran.

SLAMABAD — The Pakistani government launched the Mall Brother train connecting Islamabad, Tehran, and Istanbul on Tuesday.

The train will depart from Margalla Railways Station, according to details. Foreign Minister (FM) of Pakistan Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Minister of Pakistan Railways Muhammad Azam Khan Swati, Commerce Adviser Abdul Razaq Dawood, and Turkish counterpart Ahsan Mustafa attended the inaugural event.

At the time, Shah Mehmood stated that the country had transitioned from geopolitics to geoeconomics. The passenger train will soon operate on the same tracks. Azam Swati stated that the launching of the Mall Brother train is a significant success for the administration. Meanwhile, the Commerce Adviser stated that the government would soon be able to develop railway tracks all the way to Afghanistan and Europe.

Furthermore, the Turkish counterpart stated that the creation of transport and communication means is a pressing requirement at the moment.

“Trains will increase trade between three nations,” he stated again.
