LAHORE, Pakistan – Murree has been designated as a district by the government, and the name Kohsar has been proposed as the new district’s name.
According to details, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed concerned officials to establish the district as well as the Koshar Development Authority for tourist attractions within the district.
The government has asked the Board of Revenue for advice on the boundaries of the new district. Meanwhile, the new development authority will be in charge of the area’s rescue and relief operations.
Usman Buzdar has also announced a high-level investigation into the tragedy, with a committee led by Punjab’s additional chief secretary due to submit a report in seven days.
In light of the inquiry committee’s report, the CM stated that indiscriminate action would be taken against those responsible for negligence.
Usman Buzdar announced financial assistance for the deceased’s families.
The CM expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, saying that everyone is saddened by the tragedy and that the Punjab government shares their grief.
