ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Prime Minister Imran Khan directed on Wednesday that measures to promote coastal tourism and protect the environment be expedited.
The Prime Minister issued this directive during a meeting with Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi and Executive Member of the American Business Council of Pakistan Adnan Asad, who paid him a visit at the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad.
During the meeting, Adnan Asad informed the Prime Minister of the growing confidence of American Business Council members as well as investors in Pakistan as a result of the current government’s business-friendly policies.
Furthermore, the meeting discussed American companies’ interest in investing in Pakistan’s tourism sector.
Syed Ali Haider Zaidi briefed the Prime Minister on the country’s existing coastal tourism potential and the measures taken by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs to promote it.
