ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Fawad Chaudhry, the Federal Minister for Information, stated on Tuesday that PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has provided various dates for overthrowing the government, and even youngsters laugh at her rumor-mongering.

After a federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday, he and Federal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar addressed a press conference, saying that the government wanted to sit down with the opposition on two or three issues, but the opposition refused, and that the opposition believes the government will fall soon, but that will not happen.

The opposition leadership has been attempting to topple the government for the last four years, according to the minister, and “I believe the opposition will spend the next five years doing the same.”

According to Fawad Ch, the cabinet was briefed on the country’s urea production and availability. The demand for Urea has surged as a result of increasing wheat farming and overall increases in Urea prices throughout the world, according to reports. It was revealed that Urea costs in the United States are six times higher than in Pakistan.

He said that the federal cabinet proposed that the Senate and National Assembly create standing committees while keeping conflict of interest in mind.

The minister was updated on the Omicron situation, which revealed that daily instances of the virus had risen to 5,000 per day, with a 30% increase in ICU patients. Vaccines costing two billion dollars have been imported thus far.

Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar claimed the principal cause of Sindh’s gas scarcity is a stay order obtained by local entrepreneurs from the Sindh High Court.

He expressed the expectation that the stay would be vacated soon, and that roughly 100mm (standard cubic foot) of water would be supplied to the system for domestic use.
