PESHAWAR – During an operation in the Peshawar and Kohat areas, the Counterterrorism Department (CTD) killed one terrorist from the banned group.

According to CTD, a search operation was conducted in the Peshawar and Kohat regions after a hand grenade was thrown over a police vehicle in Peshawar’s Badaber neighbourhood yesterday night. Terrorists opened fire on police in the Akhorwal neighbourhood of Dara Adamkhel during the search operation.

Terrorist Bilal, also known as Maulvi Obaidullah, a member of the outlawed group, was slain in reprisal. The terrorist who was slain was sought by the police and the CTD because he had martyred SP Khurshid Khan and was also involved in other criminal acts.

Bilal’s head was auctioned off for Rs 5 lakh. The murdered terrorist’s possession also had a Kalashnikov and hand grenades.
