PM Imran takes note of police brutality against MQM protesters in Sindh.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan condemned police brutality against Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) protesters in Sindh.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was aware of violence against peaceful protests against Sindh’s local government bill.

The premier further stated that the Interior Minister, Sindh Chief Secretary, and Inspector General (IG) Police have been asked to submit reports. Imran Khan promised that after receiving these reports, he will take the required action against those guilty.

On Wednesday, a MQM-P joint organiser died from his injuries when police used force and baton-charged protestors to disperse demonstrations outside Sindh CM House in Karachi.

Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister of Sindh, has also called Amin-ul-Haque to convey his sorrow for the death of a MQM-P worker during a demonstration.

During the discussion, Murad Ali Shah stated that such incidents are unacceptable under any circumstances and assured the MQM-P leader of a thorough investigation into the event.

According to the Chief Minister of Sindh, a post-mortem will disclose the cause of the worker’s death, and harsh action would be taken against anyone found to be engaged in the tragic tragedy.

While asking Amin-ul-Haque to discuss the province local bodies legislation, the chief minister stated that any political issues should be resolved through dialogue and other political channels.
