According to Dunya News, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to appeal the Accountability Court’s verdict in the Saaf Pani Company case in the Lahore High Court, which acquitted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former MPA Qamarul Islam Raja and 16 others.
The NAB spokesman stated that as soon as a copy of the ruling against the verdict of the Accountability Court is obtained, an appeal would be filed in the Lahore High Court as per law.
On Monday, an accountability court acquitted Raja Qamarul Islam, a former PML-N MP and former chairman of the Punjab Saaf Pani Company (PSPC), and 15 other defendants in a Rs245 million corruption case.
