ISPR said 20 terrorists were killed during the Panjgur and Naushki operations.

On Saturday, the Pakistan Army said that 20 terrorists were killed during the Panjgur and Naushki operations, adding that security forces had finished the clearance operation.

Terrorists targeted security forces camps in Naushki and Panjgur late on February 2nd, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), and both attacks were effectively thwarted by fast response from soldiers at both places.

Nine terrorists were killed in Naushki, while four security personnel, including an officer, accepted shahadat following a shootout with terrorists while repelling a terrorist onslaught.

After an extensive exchange of fire, security personnel in Panjgur defeated the terrorist attempt, and the terrorists escaped the region. Security forces conducted a clearing operation to locate and apprehend any hidden terrorists in the area.

Four escaping terrorists were killed at Panjgur, while four more were cornered by security troops the next day. In today’s operation, all encircling terrorists were killed since they refused to surrender. 5 troops, including a JCO, accepted shahadat, while 6 soldiers were injured during 72-hour follow-up operations in Panjgur.

Three terrorists associated to these assaults were also killed yesterday, including two high-value targets, in a follow-up clearance operation on a makeshift terrorist hideaway in Balgatar, Kech. Our security forces remain robust and steadfast in their commitment to eradicating the threat of terrorism from our country at whatever cost.
