Dr Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Political Communication, said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch his health card scheme in Faisalabad today (Wednesday), according to Dunya News.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government plans to launch its flagship programme of universal health cards (Insaf Sehat Card) in Faisalabad on Wednesday (February 9), and a rally has been organised to educate the public about the benefits of this scheme.

The rally was led by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill, Chairman Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) MPA Chaudhary Lateef Nazar, and other PTI leaders, who began at Iqbal Stadium and marched up to Chowk Clock Tower.

Several smaller processions emerged from various parts of the city and joined the main rally before it arrived at Clock Tower Chowk.

Dr. Shahbaz Gill told reporters at Clock Tower Chowk, “Our workers are very enthusiastic and ready to launch a mass-contact programme to highlight the achievements of the PTI government.”

He stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to protecting the legitimate rights of the masses, which were previously denied by the rulers.

In a dig at his political opponents, he claimed that they attempted to make a peon named Malik Maqsood wealthy, but only for one night and for their own personal interests in money laundering.

He claimed that the poor were the hardest hit, having to spend their entire savings on their treatment. He claimed that the country was ruled by two families. They pillaged the country and used to travel to America and the United Kingdom for treatment. Even their third-tier leaders, such as Abid Sher Ali, were receiving treatment in the UK. He (Abid) also had enough looted and plundered money to travel abroad for treatment.

He stated that this scheme was initiated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and that the majority of people opted for treatment of eye diseases through this health facility. The second-largest beneficiaries of this scheme were those who had their deliveries at the best hospital of their choice.
