Dense fog in many towns throughout Punjab, including Lahore, has hampered traffic movement on Monday and Tuesday nights.
According to data, visibility has decreased owing to severe fog on important roadways in plain regions across the province, resulting in the closure of Lahore Motorway M2 from Thokar Niaz Baig to Sheikhupura, Motorway M3 from Lahore to Jaranwala, and Motorway M11 from Mahmood Booti to Sambrial to all traffic.
The motorway police have urged cars to travel on the Grand Trunk (GT) Road. They have also advised vehicles to drive slowly and to use fog lights.
The highway police have also asked people to stay at home and avoid unnecessary travel. Due to reduced visibility, dense fog has also affected traffic on the National Highway at various locations around the province.
