Russia’s military intervention, Ukraine declares martial law in reaction.

This morning, Ukrainian President Putin announced a special military operation in Donbas. Russia launched airstrikes on our military installations and border guards. According to CNN, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared in a speech to the public, “There were explosives heard in several areas around Ukraine.”
“We’re declaring martial law over the entire country,” he said.

The announcement came as explosions broke out throughout Ukraine, prompting Russian President Vladimir Putin to caution other countries not to become involved.

In his remarks, Zelensky also indicated that he had spoken with President Biden, who released a statement criticising Russia’s behaviour and threatening sanctions.

“I just spoke with Vice President Biden.” “The US has already begun to mobilise international support,” he continued.

Zelensky has already indicated that Ukraine would not lose any territory to Russia and has urged his countrymen to keep calm on Thursday morning.

“Today, each of you must keep your calm. Stay at home if at all feasible. We’re working really hard. “The army is on the job.” “The whole defence and security sector is operating,” said Zelensky.

“Don’t be concerned. We are strong. We’re ready for anything. “Because we’re Ukraine, we’ll win over everyone,” he added.
