The opposition has presented the leadership with a draught no-confidence resolution against Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri.
According to reports, the draught has more than 100 people who have signed it. The Speaker and Deputy Speaker have been accused of prejudice in the draught and have been accused of running the House according to their party’s directions.
Instead of remaining impartial, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker become parties in the proposal. Asad Qaiser and Qasim Soori often attend sessions headed by the prime minister, breaking the National Assembly’s regulations.
