The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has decided to promote and preserve member nations’ shared interests, as well as to support the legitimate causes of Palestine, Kashmir, and others.
It was enshrined in the Islamabad Declaration, which was agreed on Wednesday evening at the end of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers’ 48th session in Islamabad.
Through the proclamation, the OIC countries agreed to join forces to confront common issues and seize opportunities, as well as to protect the rights and interests of Muslim minorities in non-OIC countries.
Within the Muslim world and beyond, the Declaration pledged to seek a unified vision for greater social, economic, scientific, and technological growth and integration.
It underlined the goal of all peoples to foster harmony, tolerance, peaceful coexistence, higher living standards, human dignity, and understanding.
It advocated holding a Ministerial Meeting later this year or early next year to identify solutions, methods, and tools for preventing disputes and promoting peace.
The Afghanistan Humanitarian Trust Fund was declared active, which was welcomed by the declaration (AHTF).
