Despite a ban, the violent game of kite flying persists in areas of Punjab, as a boy was hurt in Lahore on Friday after a kite thread wrapped around his face.

According to reports, the teenager was riding his motorcycle in the Nawankot area of Lahore when a stray kite string wrapped around his face, injuring him.

After being alerted, rescue teams arrived on the scene and transported the injured to the Services Hospital in Lahore.
