Today is the second phase of voting in the KP LG polls.

The second round of Local Government (LG) elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will be held today in 18 districts (Thursday). Polling will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will continue until 5:00 p.m..

Elections will be held in Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Torghar, Upper and Lower Kohistan, Kolai-Palas, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Lower and Upper Dir, Upper and Lower Chitral, Kurram, Orakzai, and North and South Waziristan districts for the positions of mayor and chairman of tehsil and city councils, as well as different categories of members in village and neighbourhood councils.

In the province’s 18 districts, a total of 6,176 polling stations have been put up for the second round of local body elections, with 1,609 of them designated as most sensitive.

All preparations for the second round of local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s 18 districts have been finished. In the second phase, a total of 8.057 million people will vote.
