Despite a ban, the violent game of kite flying persists in areas of Punjab, as a police policeman was hurt in Gujranwala on Friday after a kite string wrapped around his face.
According to sources, Rahat, a police constable, was riding his motorbike to his workplace at Saddar Police Station when the string of a wayward kite wrapped around his face in the Kangniwala neighbourhood, causing him to fall off his motorcycle and receive injuries.
After being notified, rescue services arrived on the scene and transported the injured to the hospital.
