The Islamabad High Court has rejected a plea to halt the granting of Nawaz Sharif’s Diplomatic Passport.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has dismissed a plea brought by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders to prevent the Federal Government from giving a Diplomatic Passport to wanted felon Nawaz Sharif.

According to facts, the Islamabad High Court ruled that Naeem Haider’s plea was inadmissible and levied a fine of 5,000 rupees on the petitioner.

The IHC ordered the petitioner to pay the fine within 15 days at the registrar’s office.

It is worth noting that earlier today, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) reserved its decision on a petition in which Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif was asked not to be issued a Diplomatic Passport.

According to the applicant, the petition stated that Prime Minister’s (PM) brother Nawaz Sharif is a wanted criminal and should not be issued a Diplomatic Passport by the PML-N Government.

During the hearing, the Chief Justice (CJ) of the Islamabad High Court, Athar Minallah, inquired whether the Federal Government had issued any order granting the criminal a passport.
