Mullah Mohammad Hassan, the head of Afghanistan’s interim government, thought that the election of Shehbaz Sharif as Pakistan’s prime minister will strengthen bilateral relations.
Mullah Hassan, the head of the Afghan government’s council of ministers, congratulated Shehbaz Sharif, saying, “On behalf of the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, let me extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your appointment as the 23rd Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.”
“Your nomination (as Prime Minister) is a wonderful and useful move,” he added, hoping that “it would improve bilateral connections between Afghanistan and Pakistan and contribute to the growth, prosperity, and good relations between the two brotherly nations.”
