On April 26, Chief Justice (CJ) Muhammad Ameer Bhatti of the Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear a petition filed by newly-elected Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz regarding his oath-taking issue (Tuesday).
According to Hamza Shehbaz, the LHC had expressed the expectation that the President of Pakistan would appoint someone else to administer the oath of office to him, while forwarding its orders to the president’s office for that purpose. However, the court orders have not been carried out, he claimed while pleading with the court to issue directions for carrying out its orders.
