Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, said on Friday that applications for Hajj will be accepted from Sunday, May 1 until May 13.

Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, made the announcement during a news conference in Islamabad on Friday.

According to the Minister, candidates would deposit a symbolic sum of Rs 50,000.

He stated that the exact amount of Hajj would be published after confirmation from Saudi Arabia is received. However, the cost of Hajj this year is likely to be between Rs700,000 and Rs1 million.
