ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (Channel News) – Fawad Chaudhry, senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, said on Friday that the country’s democratic evolution was being hampered by a well-thought-out plot.
He announced on Twitter that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has been incorporated into the federal government. He said that the country’s core human rights were being abused. He said that the election commissioner and his associates were Pakistan’s adversaries.
Meanwhile, the ECP said that the country’s local government elections will be held in four months.
