SIALKOT – In the early hours of Wednesday, a large fire broke out at a leather business on the Wazirabad Road in Sialkot, destroying millions of rupees’ worth of equipment and goods, according to Channel News.

Details indicate that a significant amount of raw material was kept on the factory’s first level, where the fire started. Within two hours, the fire was put out by at least ten fire department trucks and a water bowser.

Short-circuit was mentioned as a potential cause of the incident by fire brigade authorities, albeit the precise reason could only be determined after a comprehensive investigation.

No casualties were recorded in the event, according to sources in the rescue effort. However, the fire destroyed items and equipment worth millions of rupees.
