Senior co-actor Michael Gambon passed away on Thursday at the age of 82. “Harry Potter” actor Daniel Radcliffe and the rest of the cast expressed their condolences.

Michael Gambon, an acclaimed Irish actor best known for portraying Professor Albus Dumbledore in six of the eight “Harry Potter” movies, passed away earlier this week after developing pneumonia, his family revealed in a statement.

His publicist released a statement saying, “We are devastated to announce the loss of Sir Michael Gambon.”
