Trump is sworn in as the 47th president of the United States.

WASHINGTON  (A News) – At a pompous ceremony, Donald Trump took the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States.

The future of one of the oldest democracies is greatly influenced by the incoming White House occupant, and his choices have a global effect.

After beating Kamala Harris in the highly anticipated 2024 presidential election, Trump will be in the saddle for the second time.

President Trump took the oath of office from US Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.

Prior to the event, Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, attended a prayer session at a church in Washington and had a meeting with President Biden at the White House.

For the first time in four decades, the inaugural event was held indoors due to the extremely cold weather in Washington, DC.

“The golden age of America begins right now,” Trump said in his introductory comments, thanking his predecessors and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I am confident that the United States will prosper again and regain respect around the world,” he said.
“Every single day of the Trump administration, I will simply put America first,” Trump declared, promising that his government will not permit the country to be exploited.

He pledged to “rebalance” the legal system, guarantee safety, and “reclaim” American sovereignty.

He said, “We are at the start of a thrilling new era of national success,” and emphasizing that a “tide of change is sweeping the country,” with America poised to seize this unprecedented opportunity.

Outlining his plans for executive orders, Trump pledged to initiate the “complete restoration of America and a revolution of common sense.”

He announced his intent to declare a “national emergency” at the southern border, halting illegal entry and beginning the process of deporting “millions of criminal aliens.”

He vowed to reinstate the “remain in Mexico” policy, end “catch and release,” and deploy troops to the border to combat what he described as a “disastrous invasion.” Additionally, he pledged to designate cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

Trump stated that his government will address inflation brought on by excessive spending and growing energy prices. He vowed to optimize the utilization of America’s fossil fuel reserves, reduce energy prices, replenish strategic stockpiles, and export energy worldwide after announcing a “national energy emergency.”

Trump proposed the creation of a “External Revenue Service” to levy taxes and tariffs on foreign nations instead of Americans, claiming that this would bring in a sizable sum of money and bring back the American Dream.

Regarding censorship and free speech, Trump promised to write an executive order to safeguard free expression and abolish all forms of censorship, denouncing prior government restrictions. In order to guarantee that the state would never again be used as a weapon against political opponents, he pledged to restore fair justice.

Regarding social policy, Trump also said that the government will formally acknowledge just two genders—male and female—and take a merit-based, colorblind stance. In order to create the “strongest military in history,” he promised to put a stop to “radical political theories and social experiments” in the military and rehabilitate service personnel who had been dismissed for defying orders to get the Covid-19 vaccination.

Regarding foreign policy, Trump declared that America will follow its “manifest destiny” by sending astronauts to Mars to plant the flag, rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America, and recapture the Panama Canal.

“Many thought it was impossible, but here I am,” Trump said in reference to his political return. The American people have spoken, demonstrating that we are the best at the impossible.

In his closing remarks, Trump hailed the return of captives from the Middle East as proof of his dedication to diplomacy and national prosperity, characterizing his legacy as a peacemaker and unifier.
