LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences has issued a student notice to warn students about fraudulent medical college closure news spreading on social media.
In the wake of an increase in COVID-19 cases, the Punjab government declared on Friday that all schools in the province will be closed from September 6 to 11.
In addition, public and private colleges, degree-awarding institutes, and universities in 15 Punjab districts have been ordered to close as of Saturday.

“In the context of the recent surge in COVID-19 instances, the UHS student community is advised to be wary of fraudulent notices and news spreading regarding the closure of associated medical and dental facilities,” the university stated in a statement.
The pupils were advised that the health university had not yet made such a notification.
The UHS stated that the administration was awaiting directives from the Punjab Government’s Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department in this respect.
“Any news/notification will be posted on the university’s official website and social media pages as soon as it is available. Please don’t listen to rumours till that moment comes “It was also added.
