MIANWALI – PM Imran Khan on Saturday laid the groundwork for 23 development projects in the health, education, and road sectors totaling around Rs 36 billion for the improvement of Mianwali, and also inaugurated three completed projects worth Rs 5.4 billion.
“God willing, when we finish our five years, Mianwali will experience progress that has never occurred in history… “I’ve always said that if given the chance, I’ll give (the people) their right via my performance,” the prime minister told a crowd.
Earlier, he inaugurated plaques to mark the beginning of three projects totaling Rs 5.4 billion, including the first segment of the Mianwali-Sargodha Road, which cost Rs 3.6 billion; City Park; and Miyawaki Forest near Namal Lake.
He also laid the groundwork for the 38-kilometer Kalabagh-Shakardara road upgrade, which is expected to cost Rs 2.70 billion, as well as the DHQ Hospital upgrade, which is expected to cost Rs 2 billion.

Thanking the people of Minwali for their support through thick and thin, the prime minister stated during electioneering that he had also vowed to elevate the underprivileged parts of South Punjab, tribal communities, and those who had previously endured neglect.
The prime minister told the gathering that his administration was willing to talk to everyone for peace, including rebel groups in Balochistan and tribal areas, but not to those who stole public money.
“We are willing to talk to everyone who holds a different viewpoint or who we label as right or left.” We are prepared to settle our differences with them peacefully, whether they are in Balochistan, former tribal regions, or Waziristan. Only those who robbed and laundered the money of the Pakistani people can ever be reconciled with,” he remarked.
In addressing the meeting of Pakistan’s redesigned foreign policy, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif stated that Pakistan would no longer bow to anybody and would instead make autonomous judgments that would be beneficial for its own people.
The prime minister also announced a number of initiatives as part of the Rs 6.6 billion PM Package-II and District Development Package, including the Rescue 1122 service, 72 road improvements, and school upgrades.
Among the new projects are the restoration and improvement of the Balkasar-Mianwali road, which is expected to cost Rs 13.5 billion, and the Wooded Land at Namal Lake and Kundia Forest Park, which is expected to cost Rs 120 million.
The prime minister told the impassioned audience that no country with disparate rules for wealthy and poor could ever prosper.
He stated that his administration will never give the corrupt leaders any NRO or make any reconciliation with them until they were punished for their loot.
He stated that the administration was promoting education, with a special emphasis on females’ education.
Regarding his idea Namal University, he stated that it will become the “Oxford University of Pakistan,” attracting students from all across the country while also benefiting the people of Mianwali.
Imran Khan reminded the audience that not just Pakistan, but the entire globe, including the United States, was experiencing unprecedented inflation as a result of the COVID-related lockdown, which resulted in the closure of enterprises and a decline in production, causing the price increase.
“You must understand that this is not only a Pakistani issue.” Due to the lockout, the United States, the world’s richest economy, is experiencing the worst inflation since 1982,” he said.
However, he stated that Pakistan was still the cheapest country and predicted that prices will fall within three to four months.
To alleviate the impact of inflation on the poor, the government created the Ehsaas Rashan Scheme, which provides a 30% subsidy on wheat, ghee, and beans to individuals earning less than Rs 50,000 per month.
Furthermore, he emphasised the government’s initiatives such as interest-free loans for three million families, a Rs 2.7 million interest-free loan for house construction, a Health Card for the entire state of Punjab by next March, and Rs 47 billion in higher education scholarships for 6.2 million students.
The prime minister determined that his administration would base Pakistan on the two fundamental ideas of Madina State, which were the rule of law and a welfare state.
“I will never let you down.” I shall lead the country to the goal for which it was created… Others will see the country as a model. “Nothing can stop it from becoming a great nation,” he said.
The prime minister stated that the Balkasar-Mianwali-Muzaffargarh route will be upgraded in a year and a half.
He also told the inhabitants of the water-stressed Mohar area that the government was considering the construction of a canal as well as solar tube wells to relieve farepayers of their power costs.
He also asked PTI supporters to actively engage in the forthcoming local government elections in order for the party to win.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar announced that a Rs 360 billion District Development Package had been included in the Punjab budget to assure the development of all districts, including Thal, Cholistan, and Koh-e-Suleman.
He said that Punjab’s development budget of Rs 740 billion was the greatest in history. He stated that the province administration has declared 100,000 employment openings and that the positions will be filled soon.
