KARACHI (Channel News Pakistan) – On Sunday, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) called a statewide strike on April 22 to protest Israeli assault in Gaza.

JI Emir Hafiz Naeem addressed a Gaza march in Karachi, outlining the movement’s future moves and encouraging the public to continue boycotting foreign items.

He declared that a separate children’s march will take place in the next phase. A Gaza march is scheduled for Multan on April 18 and Islamabad on April 20.

Hafiz Naeem also stated that the Palestinian leadership has supported the April 22 strike, and that attempts are being made to connect with other Islamic organizations for coordinated action.

He emphasized that the entire country will halt its businesses on April 22 in solidarity with Gaza. He also discussed writing to Muslim leaders and human rights organizations, announcing the formation of a global campaign against US allies.

He continued by stating that Karachi will lead the war against US loyalists, and he is confident in its success.
