QUETTA: A 5.1-magnitude earthquake rocked Kohlu in Balochistan, injuring at least three people, including a toddler, and partially damaging over 70 buildings in Kingri, according to Musa Khel deputy commissioner on Friday.

Abdul Razaq Khajak stated that individuals injured in wall collapse events were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
According to Khajak, rescue teams led by assistant commissioners have been sent to Kingri.

The Musa Khel DC’s announcement came after the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) reported that an earthquake of 5.1 magnitude struck Kohlu, with tremors felt in Zhob, Barkhan, and Rakhni.

According to the NSMC, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 17 kilometers, with its epicenter 60 km northeast of Kohlu.
