PESHAWAR – Azam Khan, the interim chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, appointed a new cabinet, and its members took their oaths on Thursday amidst concerns from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
At a ceremony attended by the chief minister and other authorities, KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali swore in the 13 ministers and three advisors.
Former IG Masood Shah is one of the 15 members of the cabinet, along with retired Justice Irshad Qaiser, Barrister Saawal Nazir, Bakht Nawaz, Shafiullah Khan, Haji Ghafran, Khushdil Khan, Taj Mohammad Afridi, Shahid Khattak, Mohammad Ali Shah, Adnan Jalil, Abdul Haleem Qasuria, Fazal Elahi, and

Their portfolios will be revealed at a later time.
The temporary cabinet has raised concerns from the PTI, which claims it was left out of the consultative process. Asad Umar, the head of the PTI, said that the interim ministry resembled a PDM cabinet.
It was not a political cabinet for which Mahmood Khan, a former chief minister, was consulted, according to the governor of KP. He said that the chief minister had the authority to appoint the cabinet.
