Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been arrested by police.

PTI leaders are being detained by police in an attempt to prevent the party from organising a long march in Islamabad.

Earlier in the day, PTI workers and police clashed after the latter attempted to arrest former minister Hammad Azhar.
