ISLAMABAD: Renowned journalist Nasim Zehra has alleged that a US official told Pakistan’s Ambassador in Washington, Dr Asad, that ties with the nation cannot improve as long as Imran Khan is prime minister.

The journalist shared on Twitter that the US Under Secretary of State did call departing Ambassador Dr Asad to give a demarche for the Pakistan government.

“He informed [ambassador] that as long as Imran Khan remains Prime Minister, ties with Pakistan would not improve, but if he leaves, [Pakistan] will be forgiven for its faults.”
