ISLAMABAD, – Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the Federal Interior Minister, stated on Sunday that suspects in the kidnapping of Afghanistan’s ambassador’s daughter will be arrested in a day or two.

The interior minister told a news conference that the Afghan ambassador’s daughter had left her home on foot and taken a cab to Khadda Market to buy.

He said that the envoy’s daughter boarded another cab to Rawalpindi from Khadda Market.

The sole question in the inquiry, according to Sheikh Rashid, is how she got from Rawalpindi to Daman-e-Koh.

India, according to the Interior Minister, is exaggerating the kidnapping of the ambassador’s daughter in order to discredit Pakistan.

“We will offer the full, genuine image to the world,” he added, adding that Pakistan’s regional relevance has increased as a result of Prime Minister Khan’s popular foreign policy measures.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan will not allow its territory to be used against Afghanistan, and that the former expects the latter to do the same.

A case of alleged kidnapping of Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Najibullah Alikhel’s daughter was lodged today at the Kohsar Police Station in Islamabad (Sunday)

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan condemned the mistreatment of Afghanistan Ambassador to Pakistan Najibullah Alikhel’s daughter.

The prime minister ordered the competent authorities to take all reasonable steps to apprehend those responsible for the mistreatment of the Afghan ambassador’s daughter and to report the facts within 48 hours.

Imran Khan urged that Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, Islamabad police, and law enforcement authorities should examine the case on an urgent basis while providing orders.

He stated that all agencies should work together with the federal police in the investigation.
