TANDO ADAM: On Sunday, a 50-foot-wide break in the Rohri Canal near Tando Adam flooded a large region, submerging hundreds of acres of land with standing crops.
A story claims that locals in the villages began working on a self-help basis to seal the canal’s leak. Water, however, spread to neighboring settlements once it entered Alam Dero.
The administration requested that the inhabitants in the nearby villages leave the region in light of the current circumstances, and many of them have been relocated to safe locations.
