While denouncing the Houthi militia assaults on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated Pakistan’s full support for the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The prime minister was given Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The prime minister hailed King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for his leadership role in fostering Islamic unity, and he appreciated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts for peace and stability in the area and beyond.
He also praised Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s vision for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s expansion and prosperity, as well as his significant contribution to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s long-standing friendship.
Prime Minister Khan praised the Kingdom in particular for its unwavering support for Pakistan, notably during difficult times, and for the recent financial budgetary help granted to Pakistan.
The prime minister thanked the Saudi leadership for hosting a significant Pakistani community and highlighted the need of further expanding people-to-people ties.
Noting the signing of the two countries’ Agreement on Transfer of Offenders, he expressed hope that a substantial number of Pakistani detainees in KSA will be returned to Pakistan within this framework.
Prince Abdulaziz sent the crown prince’s warm wishes to Prime Minister Imran Khan and underlined Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s close brotherly relations.
He also appreciated Pakistanis’ beneficial contributions to the Kingdom’s growth and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the Pakistani side on all subjects pertaining to his ministry.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a familial relationship characterised by mutual trust and understanding, strong collaboration, and a long legacy of mutual assistance.
